Q: Will you feature album "X" by artist "Y"?

A: We will be happy to review submissions. If we dig the album and think it has musical, news or comedy value, we will feature it. However, the following rules apply:
1. You must send a physical disc (CD or DVD). If you email MP3s or Rhapsody/YMU links you will be ignored and added to my trash folder. Email me for a mailing address to send review materials.
2. If you do send something, it is not guaranteed a spot on the Radish. It has to be good, interesting, funny.
3. Packages that come with professional press material are better. I do read them, so make them good, many times they spark an idea that gets a song or whole album featured.
4. Please do not send food unless it is canned. Canned meat increases your chances by .08%

A: The Rhapsody Radish, Yahoo Radish and MusicMatch Radish are places for subscription music service playlists. We create and post them daily for your enjoyment. You need to download Rhapsody Yahoo Music Engine or MusicMatch to begin enjoying the playlists. Once you install the software, simply come back and click a playlist link. The songs will load into the software you choose and begin to play at high quality!

Q: Why did you name it the "Radish"?

It's a long story, but the condensed version goes like this. I was drinking some beers with some friends when the conversation turned to church. We began to think up names for churches. Somewhere from beyond this world and through my mouth came the words "The Church of The Holy Radish". We thought this to be quite an absurd name. It stuck with me. I told myself that the next website I started would have this name.
The original blog was called "The Church of the Holy Radish", but has since been changed to "The Rhapsody Radish", "The Yahoo Radish" and "The MusicMatch Radish", because it makes more sense, and because we need to differentiate between the available music services until that fine day when there is a streaming playlist standard.

A: "Raphanus Sativus" is the scientific name for the common radish. So, it means in "Radish We Trust". It's an obvious play on "In God We Trust" which comes from the original "Church of The Holy Radish" theme. It's also a slogan that reflects our commitment to help you find music that you love. Our goal is that you will trust us as a place to come for music discovery and learning.

I really appreciate song suggestions for particular playlists, but I just don't have the time to constantly update playlists with new songs or songs that I have missed.
We encourage people to add songs to Radish Playlists themselves and re-post them in the comments of the original playlist.

A: Contibuters are personally invited to become part of the Radish team. You can be invited by:

1. Having your own Playlist blog that shows consistent quality and muscial knowledge.
2. Contributing playlist upgrades to comments on the Radish that show quality and musical knowledge.

Contributers are not paid, but are encouraged to link back to their own site with each post and may get more chicks / dudes due to upgraded celebrity status.

Q: Can I use my iPod with the Radish?

A: No, not directly. However, in Rhapsody you can burn songs in each playlist to CD then Rip the CD and load it onto your iPod.
